Prelude Orchestra

Starting in Fall 2023, the BIYO will be offering this new ensemble for students who have completed Beginner Strings Sessions 1 & 2 offered through Bainbridge Island Metropolitan Parks & Recreation District.  Students who have studied with a private instructor for at least 6 months and are comfortable reading notes on the D and A strings, are also eligible for this ensemble with teacher referral.  Students will play a variety of beginning orchestra repertoire, learn orchestra rehearsal techniques, basic music theory and the role of the conductor. Students are highly recommended to have a private instructor when joining this group.

When/Where is it?
Thursdays, 3:00pm-3:45pm, Bethany Lutheran Church, 7968 Finch Rd NE, Bainbridge Island, WA
