What is it?
​Debut Orchestra is a great introduction to the world of ensemble playing. Musicians will play varied repertoire designed to explore basic orchestral technique and style.
Who can join?
School aged string students who are comfortable reading in the keys of C, G, D, and A in first position with good intonation and have a basic understanding of rhythms.  Completion of Suzuki book 1 or equivalent is suggested.  No audition required; admission is by teacher recommendation.

Thursdays, 5:15pm-6:15pm, Bethany Lutheran Church, 7968 Finch Rd NE, Bainbridge Island, WA

The Bainbridge Island Youth Orchestra, founded in 2001, is a training program for young string musicians seeking an orchestral ensemble experience.  It has evolved into a three-tier orchestra program providing music education for all levels, from the emerging reader to the advanced musician.  BIYO's goal is to train the student musician in the craft of orchestra playing while instilling a deep love for music and fostering development of a well-rounded individual.
