What is it?
Sinfonietta is our intermediate ensemble. It is a full orchestra that explores a wide range of music from Baroque to modern film scores. Orchestra members will learn listening and collaboration skills, as well as orchestral performance techniques.
Sinfonietta is our intermediate ensemble. It is a full orchestra that explores a wide range of music from Baroque to modern film scores. Orchestra members will learn listening and collaboration skills, as well as orchestral performance techniques.
Who can join?
Strings, wind, brass, and percussion students ages 6 to 18. Sinfonietta musicians should have good breath, bow, or stick control, be able to play fluently in the keys of C, G, D, and A, and be able to sight-read simple rhythms. String players should be able to play in tune in first position and ideally have some experience shifting to second and third positions.
